Horace Mitchell Moore Sr., of the 2600 block of Cayce Court, died Dec. 16, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Moore was born in Bonnerton, N.C. He had retired from I.L.A. Local 1458 as a foreman after 35 years. He was the widower of Mary E. Moore.
Survivors include three daughters, Audrey Nixon and Rebecca Little of Chesapeake and Edith Moore of Virginia Beach; three sons, Ameen Hasan and Alexander Moore of Chesapeake and the Rev. Johnnie Rountree of Gates, N.C.; a sister, Lydia Jones of Bonnerton; a brother, Joenathan Moore of Edwards, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A private graveside rite will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, by the Rev Johnnie Rountree. Fitchett Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling arrangements.
