FRANKLIN E. HALL SR.

Franklin Edward Hall Sr., 77, of the 700 block of Battlefield Blvd. S., died Monday in Chesapeake General Hospital.

Mr. Hall was born in Old Norfolk County and was the son of the late Frank N. and Lillian Mary Hurdle Hall. He had retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a construction representative after 30 years of service. Mr. Hall was also an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Great Bridge Congregation Christian Church and the Great Bridge Masonic Lodge (NU)257.

Survivors include his wife, Marion Jenkins Hall of Chesapeake; two sons, Franklin Edward Hall Jr. of Chesapeake and George Allen Hall of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Cancer Treatment Center of Chesapeake General Hospital.
