Hazel Walker Maxey, 91, of the 5900 block of Bennett's Creek Lane, died Dec. 18 1994, in a Portsmouth hospital.
A native of Harford County, Md., she was the daughter of the late A. Raymond and Mary Stockham Taylor Walker. She was the widow of Melville Anderson Maxey. Mrs. Maxey was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the Driver Book Club and past president and member of the Nansemond River Garden Club.
She is survived by one son, M. Anderson Maxey Jr. of Suffolk; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. H. Vance Mann. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 213 N. Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434. The family will be at the home. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
