TEEN PLEADS GUILTY IN SLAYING

A teenager charged with the September 1993 murder of Robert Boyd pleaded guilty to all charges Monday in Circuit Court.

Teko Williams, 17, was convicted of second-degree murder, attempted robbery and two counts of use of a firearm. Sentencing will be Jan. 31.

Williams was charged last December for the Sept. 23, 1993, shooting of Boyd, 26, of the 3000 block of St. Mihiel Ave. Another juvenile was charged in that shooting. The names of the suspects were not released because of their ages.

Residents called police after, they said, a man had been standing in a doorway firing a gun. When officers arrived, they found Boyd, shot in the head. He died the next day.
