Melvin A. ``Pete'' Kuehne, 67, of the 8000 block of Tidewater Drive, died Dec. 19, 1994, in Portsmouth.
Mr. Kuehne was born in Oak Park, Ill. He had retired from the Navy as a commissaryman after 22 years and had also been employed with the Maintenance Department of John Knox Towers in Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Dee Kuehne; a daughter, Kimberly A. Griner of Norfolk; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Bev Kuehne of Virginia Beach; a sister, Gloria Pawtowski of Elkhart, Ind.; a brother, Norman Kuehne of Elkhart; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Oakdale Presbyterian Church. Burial will be private. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
