WILLIAM LUCKA

William ``Bill'' Lucka, 65, died Dec. 19, 1994, in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Lucka was born in Scranton, Pa. He had retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years and the U.S. Postal Service. He was also a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 166 and was a life member of the Virginia Beach Chapter of Disabled American Veterans. He was also an active volunteer for several organizations in the community.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Lucka of Virginia Beach; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Steve Bailey of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Erica and Alyssa Bailey of Virginia Beach; daughter and son-in-law, Karen Lucka-Beristain and Nahum Beristain of Paris, France; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Juliette Beristain of Paris; and a daughter and son-in-law, Maryellen and Todd Maurer of Virginia Beach; a granddaughter, Samantha Maurer of Virginia Beach; a sister, Gladys Patrick of Olean, N.Y.; and an aunt and uncle, Robert and Chris Meeson of Scranton, Pa.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, by Chaplain Franklin Hays. Burial with military honors will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
