ROBERT T. SCOTT SR.

Robert Thomas Scott Sr., of the 2000 block of Cypresswood Lane, died Dec. 19, 1994, in the Hampton VA Hospital.

Mr. Scott was a native of Southampton County and was the son of the late John Robert Scott and Annie Benn Scott. He was retired from the Naval Supply Center and was an Army veteran. He was a graduate of East End Baptist Church, Suffolk, and was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and Hampton University.

Survivors include his wife, Mary A. Scott; a son, Robert T. Scott Jr. of Suffolk; a daughter, Judith Scott Haynie of Reedville, Va.; devoted cousins, Randolph and Carrie Scott of Miami; daughter-in-law, Judy C. Scott; sisters-in-law, Virgie L. Taylor of Chesapeake, Georgia Mayo, Ruth Holland, Thelma Faulk, all of Suffolk, Whilhemenia Jordan of Nags Head, Lillie B. Scott of Raleigh, N.C., and Mary Scott of Norfolk; brothers-in-law, P.L. Artise of Chesapeake, Elvin T. Artis of Franklin, Colbert L. Taylor of Chesapeake, Joseph T. Holland of Suffolk and Calvin Jordan of Nags Head; and seven grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in East End Baptist Church by Dr. Mark A. Croston Sr. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The body will be in the church at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
