The Allen administration now estimates that the refund on illegally taxed pensions is 76 cents on the dollar. Some people are crying foul and want to turn it down and go back to court for several more years.
If they used their heads, they would take the money now and put it in a mutual fund. After the same several years, the money would grow into more than any future settlement has to offer.
