ORPAH K. RUDDER

Orpah Keesee Rudder, 92, of the 1200 block of Nansemond Parkway, died Dec. 19, 1994.

A native of Kenova, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Kenneth and Effie Lee Wright Keesee and the widow of Robert Oliver Rudder. Mrs. Rudder was a member of Catawba Baptist Church in Nathalie, Va., and a former member of the Eastern Star in Liberty, Va.

She is survived by two stepdaughters, Dorothy R. Fore and Virginia R. Sowell, both of Brookneal; one stepson, William Thomas Rudder of Brookneal; one sister, Ellen H. Grizzard of Suffolk one brother, John Edward Hawkins of Corapeake, N.C.; six stepgrandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 2 p.m. in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. John Bright. Memorial donations may be made to the Catawba Baptist Church, Nathalie, Va., 24577. The family will be at the home of Ellen Grizzard, 1224 Nansemond Parkway. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
