J. WEBB PINNER JR.

John Webb Pinner Jr., 75, of the 500 block of Riverview Drive, died Dec. 20, 1994, in Obici Hospital.

A native of Suffolk, he was the son of the late John Webb Pinner Sr. and Frances Leigh Pinner.

Mr. Pinner was the former owner of Pinner's Flower Shop, having operated the business for 35 years. He was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where he had served as a vestryman and as a member of the Altar Guild. He was a member of the Suffolk Kiwanis Club, Izaak Walton League, Suffolk Elk's Lodge (NU)685, the American Legion and the Jolly Boys. He was an Eagle Scout, class of 1932 and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Alderman Pinner; one daughter, Rebecca Leigh Pinner of Richmond; one son, John W. Pinner III and daughter-in-law, Ann Bartley Pinner of Suffolk; and two grandsons, John Webb Pinner IV and James Carrington Pinner.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Paul's Episcopal Church by the Rev. H. Vance Mann. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Altar Guild of St. Paul's, 231 N. Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434, or the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O.
