Reginald Sylvester Parson Sr., 53, a native of Norfolk, passed away in his home in New Windsor on Dec. 19, 1994.
He was a retired operations manager for Western Union Financial Services Inc. He was also a retired Air Force Reservist. Born Feb. 23, 1941, he was the son of George R. Parson Sr. of Norfolk and the late Betty Cuffee Parson. Mr. Parson grew up in the Campostella section of Norfolk, Va., and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1959.
He is survived by his wife, Saundra Carolina Parson; two daughters, Stacilyn Parson of Richmond and Angela Parson of Chesapeake; three sons, Reginald Parson Jr., Renard Parson and Roderic Parson of New Windsor; three sisters, Constance Mamma of Norfolk, Eleanor Freeman and Marion Robinson of Chesapeake; and three brothers, George R. Parson Jr. and David Parson of Chesapeake and Charles Willis of Augusta, Ga.
Services will be held at noon on Friday at First United Methodist Church in Newburgh, N.Y. Brutus W. Hodge Funeral Home, Newburgh, is handling arrangements.
