PAULINE C. DELUDE

Pauline Claire Delude, 92, of the 600 block of Orangewood Drive, a retired professional musician, died Dec. 21 1994, in Sentara Health Care Center.

Mrs. Delude was born in Salem, Mass., and was the widow of Joseph Delude. She was a member of Church of the Holy Apostles. She graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music school in 1924, was a teacher of classical piano and had her own radio musical show in Boston, Mass. During World War II she performed for the USO and in later years she worked for General Electric until her retirement. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Salem, Mass.

Mrs. Delude was preceded in death by two daughters, Virginia Choquette and Dolores Mastrangelo.

She is survived by a daughter, Leah Galjan of Virginia Beach; four sons, Joseph Delude of Rochester, N.H., Richard Delude of Prairie Village, Kan., Philip Delude of Salem, Mass. and John Delude of Grand Prairie, Texas; a sister-in-law, Jane Truche of Salem; 27 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Church of the Holy Apostles, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Charles Fisher and the Rev. Charles Smithers. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem, Mass. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund of the Church of the Holy Apostles.
