Mrs. Irene A. Greene, age 91, died Friday, Dec. 23, 1994.
Mrs. Greene was a native and lifelong resident of Mathews County. She was a member of Central UMC, United Methodist Women for over 50 years and the Friendship Sunday School class.
Mrs. Greene is survived by two daughters, Sara Ann Brooks of Mathews and Jean P. Edwards of Newport News; one sister, Emma A. Bowman of Richmond; four granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, with the Revs. William Clark and John Durkovich officiating. Burial will follow in Haynes Cemetery, Cobbs Creek, Va. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
