Mohammad Aminul Islam, M.D., 56, of the 5500 block of Springwood Drive, died Dec. 23, 1994, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Dr. Islam came to the United States of America in 1963 after finishing his training. He practiced in Portsmouth as an internist. He was a member of the Muslim Community of Tidewater. He was a native of West Bengal, India.
Survivors include his wife, Selima B. Islam; and four daughters, Monica Islam, Leila Islam, Sonya Islam and Nadia Islam, all of Portsmouth.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Portsmouth General Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 1053, Portsmouth, Va. 23705.
