CORRECTIONS

A study of 151 anti-gay slayings showed that 51 percent of such killings have been solved, compared with 65 percent for all homicides nationally. An Associated Press story Wednesday had the wrong percentage for all homicides.

Dr. Paul K. Whelton is an epidemiologist and nephrologist at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in Baltimore. His specialty was described incorrectly Thursday in a Los Angeles Times story about his study on kidney damage from the painkiller acetaminophen.
