Edna Washington Young, 83, of the 1000 block of Hampton Blvd., died Dec. 22, 1994, in Hill Haven Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Norfolk.
Mrs. Young was born in Isle of Wight County, Va. She was retired.
Survivors include a son, Sonny Young of Norfolk; a sister-in-law, Pattie Washington of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday at Serenity Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. P.N. Shannon. Burial will be in Calvary Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday. The family will receive friends at 734 Bold St., Portsmouth, and will assemble there at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday for the processional to the chapel.
