John W. Person, 81, of the 200 block of Fairview Drive died Dec. 23, 1994, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Person was a native of Palmyra, N.J., and the son of Spencer Person and Mary Sue Person. He retired as a masonry contractor in Cinnaminson, N.J. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Paul Church of God in Christ, Emporia, Va.
Survivors include his wife, Elise Turner Person of Franklin; one daughter, Mary P. Mitchell of Philadelphia, Pa.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at St. Paul Church of God in Christ by Elder Frank Batts. Burial will be at Pleasant Plain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 221 Fairview Drive, Franklin, Va. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
