The following is a list of holiday observances. Many businesses and city offices will observe the holiday Monday.
Banks, city and state offices and courts Closed Monday.
Garbage Collection Portsmouth will have regular collection. Collection in Chesapeake will be on Wednesday. Collection in Virginia Beach will be on Tuesday and Suffolk collection will be a day late each day.
Recycling Collection SPSA will collect in Virginia Beach on Tuesday. There will be no collection in Chesapeake, Norfolk or Portsmouth; collection resumes in those cities on Monday, Jan. 2.
Postal Service All U.S. Postal Service offices will be closed on Monday. There will be no regular mail or package delivery but Express Mail will be delivered.
ABC Stores Closed Monday.
