I read with dismay the articles concerning Gov. George Allen's proposed state budget and tax breaks (news, Dec. 20). His comment to Democrats in the General Assembly that failure to go along with his plan could earn them the wrath of voters during the next election does not speak for this voter. Going along with Governor Allen's plan will be more likely to earn state lawmakers my wrath.
Cuts in higher education, public broadcasting, the arts, museums, etc. are too large a price to pay for an income-tax break.
