EDMUND B. NORMAN JR.

Edmund B. Norman Jr., died Dec. 23, 1994.

He was a native of Plymouth, N.C., and was the son of the late Edmund B. Norman Sr. and Willie King Norman. He was a retired engineer for Virginia Power, a graduate of the University of Richmond, member of the Boatwright Society, member of the Petersburg Public Forum, member of the Downtown Churches United, and a Deacon of the First Baptist Church. He was a retired Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve.

He is survived by his wife, Mona Brown Norman; four children, Jacqueline N. Parker of Herndon, Richard M. Norman of Virginia Beach, Susan N. Kimec of Richmond, and Gary L. Norman of Culpepper; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. today in Riverside Cemetery in Norfolk. A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. today in First Baptist Church, 235 West Washington Street, Petersburg. Dr. D. Allen Schuyler, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate at both services. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Petersburg Public Forum or to Downtown Churches United. J.T. Morris and Son Funeral Home, Petersburg, is handling the arrangements.
