Luther James Belanga Jr., 62, of the 900 block of Sandbridge Road, a retired fisherman, died Dec. 24, 1994, in the V.A. Hospital, Hampton.
He was a native of Princess Anne County and was the widower of Joann Jennstreet Belanga. He had been retired since 1984 after working for 45 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
He is survived by his son, Michael L. Belanga of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Marshall Belanga and Marvin Belanga, both of Virginia Beach; one niece, Merrilee Howell of Nelson County, Va.; and one nephew, Eddie Belanga of Virginia Beach.
Services will be at a later date. The family will recieve friends at 905 Sandbridge Road on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Maestas Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
