Beatrice J. Betz Nickerson, 76, a homemaker, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 1994, at Wuestoff Hospital.
Mrs. Nickerson was born in Huntington, W.Va., and moved to Brevard County in 1988 from Norfolk, Va. She was a member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, Norfolk; attended Michigan University; studied at the Juilliard School of Music in New York; was an accomplished soprano vocalist; and an avid golfer who won several club championships.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Commander Henry J. Nickerson, USN (Ret.) of Melbourne; daughter, Betsy Anne Mileham of Patuxent, Md.; son, Peter Nickerson of Alexandria, Va.; granddaughters, Sarah Mileham of Patuxent and Anne Mileham of Baltimore, Md.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Florida Memorial Funeral Home, Rockledge, Fla. Burial will be in Florida Memorial Gardens. Calling hours are Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests no flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army in Melbourne. The family may be reached at 407-255-6362.
