Rae Griffin Kanady, of Goodspeed Road in Princess Anne Hills, died Dec. 26, 1994, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. Kanady was a native of Norfolk County, Va. She was an Episcopalian, a member of the Princess Anne Country Club and an avid supporter of the SPCA of Virginia Beach. She was the daughter of the late Mortimer W. and Edith P. Griffin.
Survivors include her husband, Col. Edwin P. Kanady, USA (Ret.) of Virginia Beach; and two grandchildren, Jesse and Stacy Scarborough, both of Seattle, Wash.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery by Dr. Paul B. Watlington Jr. The family will receive friends after the burial at 497 North St. in Portsmouth. Memorial donations may made to the SPCA of Virginia Beach. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
