FORD SABBATINI

Ford Sabbatini, 85, of the second block of Rodgers Place, a retired weapons specialist, died Dec. 26, 1994, in Portsmouth.

Mr. Sabbatini was a native of Lake Village, Ark. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Winona Sabbatini and his second wife, Pauline Hatfield Sabbatini. He was retired from the Naval Supply Center, Norfolk, after 31 years. He was a long-term and active member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Moose Lodge (NU)898, NARFE and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Dorothy R. Murray of Chesapeake; a stepson, Dare W. Robinson Jr. of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Mrs. Sallie Baldoni and Mrs. C.Y. Oliver, both of Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. Sasta Baroni of Greenville, Miss.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 7 p.m. today in Holy Angels Catholic Church by Father James E. Dorson. Interment will be in Greenville Cemetery in Greenville, Miss. The family will receive friends at the church from 6 to 7 p.m. today prior to the service. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 6330 Newtown Rod, Suite 525, Virginia Beach, Va. 23462, or Mississippi Fire Fighters Memorial Burn Center, Greenville, Miss.
