Courtney ``Coatie'' Baird Powell, 80, of the first block of Carolina St., died Dec. 27, 1994.
Survivors include three daughters, Evelyn P. Drake of Franklin, Va., Carolyn P. Barnes and Lynn P. Powell, both of Roanoke Rapids; four sons, Roy L. Powell and H. Ray Powell, both of Roanoke Rapids, Jeff W. Powell of Richmond, Va., and Winfred Powell of Emporia; a brother, Drewery Baird of Alberta, Va.; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lakeview Park Baptist Church. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Wrenn Funeral Home.
