H. Lewis Dudley, 83, of the 2700 block of Battlefield Blvd., retired former owner and operator of Graham Funeral Home, died Dec. 26, 1994, in his residence.
Mr. Dudley was born in Norfolk County and was the widower of Margaret Williams Dudley. He was a life member of Hickory United Methodist Church; past president of the Tidewater Funeral Directors Association and the Chesapeake Better Business Club; charter member of Chesapeake Shrine Club; South Norfolk Masonic Lodge (NU)339, AF & A.M; Khedive Shrine Temple and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason; Norfolk Consistory. He was a graduate of Renourds Training School of Funeral Directing and Embalming in New York City.
Survivors include a daughter, Francene Barber of Warsaw, Va.; two grandsons; one great-grandson; and two nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Moyock Memorial Cemetery by the Rev. Frank N. Hughes Jr. and the Rev. Tom Mercer. The family will receive friends at the residence. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, is handling arrangements.
