PLANNING A menu for Christmas or Easter usually isn't difficult.
But what about a First Communion, the Epiphany or another of the many Christian holy days throughout the year?
Ignatius Press of San Francisco has re-published ``A Continual Feast,'' a cookbook for a year's worth of Christian occasions, by Evelyn Birge Vitz.
The book, originally published by Harper & Row, begins with Sunday picnics and other feasts and includes a section on fasting.
Part 2 covers the Christian year, beginning with Advent. Recipes and traditions from around the world are included for each event.
Even celebrations that are not necessarily Christian receive a special touch. For birthday celebrations, Vitz suggests that guests tell the honoree what they especially like about him or her. by CNB
