Mrs. Conrad Hamersly McFarland, 90, of the 900 block of Kelso Court in Virginia Beach and a longtime resident of Norfolk, died Dec. 27, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. McFarland, a homemaker, was born in Norfolk and was the widow of Bernard P. ``Chick'' McFarland. She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church for over 79 years and was also adopted into the family of Westwood Hill Baptist Church. She was a volunteer and supporter of Outreach for Christ of Virginia Beach.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara and husband, John C. Carper of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Linda C. and husband, James H. Shipley and Wayne E. and wife, Heather F. Carper of Virginia Beach; cousin, Maxine H. Bauer of Florida; and sister-in-law, Eunice A. McFarland of Norfolk. She had several nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by Dr. Paul B. Watlington Jr. and the Rev. Jess Jackson. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Outreach for Christ, Inc. at P.O. Box 4326, Virginia Beach, Va. 23454.
