FANNIE SHAW

Fannie Shaw, of the 1800 block of County St., died Dec. 27, 1994, in Maryview Medical Center.

She was a native of Gates County, N.C. and was a former member of Weeping Willow Baptist Church, Tarboro, N.C.

She si survived by her husband, Willie Shaw; three daughters, Sarah Weathers, Beulah Dawsey, and Mildred Lucas, all of Portsmouth; two sons, Robert Shaw of Portsmouth, and James Edward Shaw, of New York City; two sisters, Emma L. Dixon and Mary Lee Dupree, both of Portsmouth; one brother, John Lester Johnson of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Corprew Funeral Home by the Rev. Milton L. Blount. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be at Corprew Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Friday. The family will be at the home of Sarah Weathers, 1442 Welcome Rd., and 1822 County St., and will assemble at 1822 County St. for the funeral service.
