Lcdr. Leroy Teele, of the 100 block of W. Bayview Blvd., died Dec. 27, 1994, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
He was born in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and was a veteran of World War II. He retired from the USCG after 30 years of service. He was a deacon of Larchmont Baptist Church and a member of Khedive Shrine Temple and a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Gazelle Lewis Teele; a daughter, Joyce Teele of Portsmouth; a son, Keith Leroy Teele of Fairfax; a grandson, Brian Teele of Fairfax; and a granddaughter, Karen Teele of Fairfax.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke-Rapids, N.C. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Holloman-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, today. Memorial donations may be made to Larchmont Baptist Church.
