MISSING WOMAN RETURNED TO VIRGINIA BEACH FAMILY THE 30-YEAR-OLD HAD NOT BEEN SEEN FOR OVER A WEEK.

A 30-year-old woman reported missing by family members since Dec. 18 has been located, unhurt, police say, and reunited with her mother.

Virginia Beach police are crediting media reports that went out on Tuesday and Wednesday for helping to locate the woman.

Teresa T. Gladney of the 1000 block of Taylor Road was last seen on Indian River Road in the Newlight area of Virginia Beach at about 4 a.m. Dec. 18.

Gladney had left her child with relatives in Norfolk on Dec. 17 and told them that she was going to meet her estranged husband.

On Dec. 20, Gladney's mother reported that Gladney's home was in disarray and that a small amount of blood had been found in the residence.

Lou Thurston, spokesman for the Virginia Beach Police Department, said information about how and where Gladney was located would not be available because of privacy considerations. But Thurston did say that Gladney was found as a ``direct result of media coverage.''

Gladney was found in good health and was not harmed, Thurston said.
