A 34-year-old man who was found shot Tuesday evening died shortly afterward in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Police identified the victim as Duval M. Edmonds.
He was found in the 700 block of Pile St. in the Crestwood section.
Officers were called to the scene at 5:55 p.m.
Edmonds was pronounced dead at 6:32 p.m.
The motive for the shooting was unclear.
