WILLIAM R. CUTLER

William Russell Cutler, 90, of Route 2, Box 362, Washington, died in the Beaufort County Hospital late Wednesday afternoon.

Mr. Cutler was born in Beaufort County, March 19, 1904, to the late Lena Estelle Phillips and Cornelious Franklin Cutler. He is survived by Ida Elsie Everett Cutler whom he married on Dec. 28, 1927. He spent his lifetime farming in the Camp Leach Community, Beaufort County. Mr. Cutler was an active member of Athens Chapel Church of Christ in the White Post Community. He was also a member of the Improved Order of Redmen Tau Tribe (NU)18, Washington.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Lena Faye Cutler Roebuck of Washington; a son, Clifton Cornelious Cutler of Chesapeake; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Paul Funeral Home, Washington, with the Rev. Cleve Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Athens Chapel Church, Route 1, Box 32-A, Bath, N.C. 27808, or to an organization of one's choice.
