The city is recycling Christmas trees again this year. Trees will be processed into mulch and low-grade compost as part of the regional yard-waste recycling program.
To prepare a tree for recycling, remove all ornaments, tinsel, and other manmade items.
Those who receive household waste-collection services should place trees on the curb on the regularly scheduled collection day.
All other households can drop off trees through Jan. 5, at these locations:
Little Creek Recycling Center: behind Kmart at 741 E. Little Creek Rd. (inside Recycling Center).
Government Avenue Recycling Center: 400 block of W. Government Avenue, near Ocean View Elementary School.
Recycling Centers will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. For details, call the Clean Community Systems at 441-1486. by CNB
