Regarding Newt Gingrich's Contract With America and the welfare problem.
``What will happen to the 9 million welfare children when welfare benefits are cut off?'' the liberals ask. If welfare recipients really have self-respect and love their child or children, they will work, of course. It's that simple.
The same liberals who cry ``foul play'' are the same politicians who made the poor dependent in the first place and thrust them into poverty and degrading living conditions.
Work is the strongest safety net in the history of mankind and the main building block for strong families and great civilizations alike.
The choice is clear: Those who work, eat; those who don't work don't eat. There is no free lunch.
