IDA B. LEVINE

Ida Bloom Levine, widow of Judah Levine, a resident of Norfolk from 1924 to 1987 and a resident of Gaitherburg since 1987, passed away on Dec. 29, 1994, in Rockville, Md.

Mrs. Levine was born in Russia and moved to New York City in the early 1900s. She moved to Norfolk following her marriage to Judah Mayer Levine in 1924. Mrs. Levine and her husband operated Feldman and Levine Grocery store for many years and then operated Mayer's Variety Store on the corner of Church St. and Goff St.

Mrs. Levine was predeceased by her husband, her brothers, Jack, David and Louis, and her sisters, Sara Levine and Pauline Foote. She was also predeceased by her son, Sol Levine.

Mrs. Levine is survived by her son, Benjamine Levine and his wife, Helen of Woodland Hills, Calif., and her daughter, Shulamith Lynn and her husband, Albert of Gaithersburg, Md. She is also survived by eight beloved grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 1995, in B'Nai Israel Cemetery in Norfolk by Rabbi Israel Bornstein. Contributions may be made to B'Nai Israel Synagogue at 420 Spotswood Ave., Norfolk, or to the charity of your choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, in charge.
