Jessie Dora Winborne, 94, of Pinewood Manor, Ahoskie, N.C., died Thursday, Dec. 29, 1994, at her residence.
Miss Winborne was born in Como, N.C., Nov. 29, 1900, and was the daughter of the late Samuel Pretlow and Jessie Jones Winborne. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Pretlow Winborne and Helen Winborne Holland.
Survivors include a sister, Annie-Sue Winborne Majette of Charlotte, N.C.; one niece, Helen Jones Majette, Wilmington, N.C.; four nephews, Jethro Barnes Majette, Jr. of Winston-Salem, N.C., Joseph Pretlow Majette of Southern Pines, N.C., W.J.M. Holland III of Waycross, Ga., and Samuel Winborne Holland, Richmond, Va.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995, by the Rev. Sharon James in Buckhorn Baptist Church Cemetery, Como, N.C. Memorials may be made to the Buckhorn Baptist Church, Como, N.C. 27818 or to the Pinewood Manor Rest Home, Rt. I, Box 19 K, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge of arrangements.
