Melvin James ``Junnie'' Harrison Jr., 48, of the 900 block of Appomattox St., a laborer, died Dec. 28, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mr. Harrison was born in Norfolk. He was predeceased by his parents, Melvin James Harrison Sr. and Dorothy Lee Harrison.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Brown of Chesapeake and Melvin Odom of Norfolk; a sister, Sarah Harrison of Norfolk; five brothers, Lonnie Cherry, Daniel Harrison, Bobby Harrison and Sherman Harrison, all of Norfolk and Wayne Nichols of San Diego, Calif.; an aunt, Hattie Harrison and an uncle, Robert Forrest, both of Norfolk; two great-aunts, Emma Bracy and Virginia Bracy, both of Chesapeake; and a special friend, Gail Odom of Norfolk and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in New Hope United Hope of Christ by the Rev. James W. Anderson. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church on Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. Family and friends will assemble at 3118 Tidewater Drive (Apt. A), Norfolk, on Tuesday at noon for funeral processional to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, in charge.
