Mrs. Peggy Crocker Johnson, 48, of the 5600 block of Godwin Blvd., Suffolk, died Dec. 31, 1994, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County.
She was a former member of Mt. Lebanon Church of God In Christ, Suffolk, and was currently a member of Hill Street, Church of God In Christ, Smithfield, where she was First Lady of the Church, president of the Missionary Circle, and member of the Senior Choir. She was also assistant president of the Pastor's Wives' Club of the Suffolk District of the Churches of God In Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Elder James J. Johnson; a son, Jonathan Crocker of Suffolk; three stepsons, James R. Johnson of Newport News, Joseph A. Johnson of Boston, Mass., and Jonathan D. Johnson of Portsmouth; three stepdaughters, Veronical P. Goodwin of Roanoke, Freda E. Johnson and Sherry M. Scott, both of Suffolk; her parents, Clarence Crocker Sr. and Mrs. Mae Anna Hill Crocker of Suffolk; two sisters, Ethel Crocker and Vanessa Crocker, both of Suffolk; a brother, Clarence Crocker Jr. of Suffolk; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two nephews, Clarence Mitchell and Marcus Mitchell, both of Suffolk; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 2, 1995 at 2 p.m. in Hill Street Church of God In Christ, Smithfield, by Elder William P. Wiggins. Interment will be in Macedonia A.M.E.
