Edna Erma Boykins Howard, 77, of Petersburg and formerly of Zuni, departed this life Jan. 1, 1995, at Southside Regional Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Christopher Boykins and Texana Brown Boykins and the widow of Wilbert T. Howard.
She is survived by her only child, Bessie O'Neal James of Petersburg, and other relatives.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Gethsemane Apostolic Church, 1020 Halifax St., Petersburg, with Elder Eddie Smith, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends and calls at the residence of her daughter, 1116 High Pearl St., Petersburg, (804)862-3670. James M. Wilkerson Funeral Est., Inc., is handling arrangements.
