Clarence Vernon Hayden, 61, died Monday, Jan. 2, 1995, in Portsmouth.
Mr. Hayden was a native of Richmond, Va. He was retired from St. Juliens Creek as a contract specialist supervisor and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Anna J. Hayden; a daughter, Shirley L. Harvey of Virginia Beach; a son, David A. Hayden of Portsmouth; two sisters, Lucille Denston of Pocomoke, Md., and Evelyn Borges of Penney Farms, Fla.; three grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Tom Potter. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
