James Carrol Kellam, 72, of the 2500 block of Bird Lane, died Jan. 1, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Kellam was a native of Portsmouth. He was retired from Virginia Chemical after 43 years and was a former member of the Moose Lodge (NU)898 and its clown unit.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Kidd of Larraine, Ohio, and Latticia Miller of Virginia Beach; a son, James M. Kellam of Chesapeake; a brother, Hershell P. Kellam of Bridgeport, W.Va.; a grandson, James M. Kellam Jr.; and a devoted friend, Gloria P. Brett of Portsmouth.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Damon Wyatt. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
