CATHERINE ANNE WALKER

Catherine Anne Walker, 34, died in Annapolis, Md., following a long illness. Ms. Walker was the inspiration for the formation of the Profound Paralysis Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of persons with `locked-in' syndrome. She was very proud of her participation in the foundation and throughout the long progression of her debilitating illness never lost her courage or humor.

Ms. Walker was a graduate of the College of William and Mary.

Ms. Walker is survived by her father, William J. Walker Jr. of Lovettsville, Va. and her mother, Mrs. Anne Perry of Annapolis, Md. She is also survived by her sister, Donna Smith, her brother, William Walker III, and her grandparents, William (Jeff) Walker and Frances (Nita) Walker of Norfolk, Va.

A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Talbot Park Baptist Church in Norfolk on Saturday, Jan. 7, at 2 p.m.
