ELIZABETH ANNE BARRETT

Elizabeth Anne Richards Barrett, of the 900 block of Bolling Ave., died Monday, Jan. 2, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

She was born in Columbus and was the daughter of the late Dr. Arthur C. and Margaret Scott Richards and the widow of Jack W. Barrett. Mrs. Barrett retired in 1991 from Maryview Hospital as a healthcare professional. She was also an entrepreneur and a freelance writer. She was a member of Larchmont United Methodist Church and active on the Republican Presidential Task Force of Norfolk.

Mrs. Barrett is survived by three daughters, Bonne B. Wright of Grove City, Ohio, Molli M. Yood of Washington, D.C., Becke J. Prince of Glendora, Calif.; two sons, Jack C. Holden of Ithaca, N.Y., Thomas H. Holden of Honululu; a sister, Dr. Virginia R. Armstrong of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Barrett had a loving relationship with all her family including her nieces and nephews, Caroline Beierschmitt, Margie Carson, Ed Day and Jim Day. She is also survived by the families of her deceased sisters, Rhea Daigre and Marilu Bartlett.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 5, in the chapel of Twiford's Funeral Home, Ghent Chapel, Norfolk, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Hugh H. Morgan officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Norfolk Public Library, 301 E. City Hall Ave., Norfolk, Va. The family will receive friends at 5422 Coburn Crescent, Lakewood, Norfolk, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
