The suspect in a series of rapes near the Oceanfront was indicted Tuesday on another rape charge.
Kerri Cardanell Charity, 24, was indicted by a grand jury on charges that he raped a woman at Seashore State Park in October 1993. DNA evidence linked Charity to the case, prosecutors said.
Charity is accused of a series of sexual assaults at the Oceanfront that began in the summer of 1993. Police linked nearly a dozen attacks in which women were raped, many at knife point, in their homes.
Charity now has been indicted in five rape cases in connection with the investigation. His trial is scheduled to begin Jan. 19.
