Moises Roman, accused of holding two children hostage at gunpoint in their home in September, was indicted by a grand jury Tuesday.
Roman, 18, was charged with three counts of using a firearm during a felony, two counts of abduction with the intent to extort, attempted robbery, extortion, armed burglary with the intent to rob, abduction for immoral purposes and rape.
Police say that on Sept. 13, Roman, armed with a handgun, invaded a home in the Stumpy Lake area and held a girl and her brother hostage during a nine-hour standoff with a SWAT team after ordering the children's mother to leave the house and go to the bank for money.
