Ernest Linwood Vines, 93, formerly of Portsmouth, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995, in Misericordia Hospital in Philadelphia.
He is survived by seven daughters and seven sons, including Robert Vines of Portsmouth; one niece, Inez Johnson of Portsmouth; one great-niece, Miriam Jiggetts of Norfolk; two great-nephews, Damian and Dante Jiggetts of Norfolk; 39 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held Monday, Jan. 9, from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 345 N. 63rd St., Philadelphia. Flemuel Funeral Home, Philadelphia, is handling arrangements. Information was provided by Rogers Funeral Home.
