George Finney Richardson, 54, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995.
Mr. Richardson was born in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and was the son of Hilda Finney Richardson and William Dorsey Richardson. He attended Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was the founder of the Life Guard Beach Service and was the owner and president of the Colony Cinema Corporation. He served on the Board of Trustees of Virginia Episcopal School.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Jefferson Richardson, formerly of Richmond, Va., and a daughter, Christina Dorsey Richardson of New York City.
The body will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, is handling arrangements. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dare County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 1000, Manteo, N.C. 27954.
