Dennis ``Captain'' Vaughan Smith, 41, of the 8500 block of Millard St., a waterman/duck hunting guide, died Jan. 2, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mr. Smith was born in Norfolk. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and was an avid sportsman and baseball player.
Survivors include his wife, Lila Wilcher Smith Eads of Norfolk; two sisters, Sandra B. Tennyson of Norfolk and Judith B. Maziarz of Dover, N.H.; a brother, Fred G. Bashara of Norfolk; a brother-in-law, John D. Willis of Virginia Beach; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. William D. Tennyson. Burial will be private.
