Mildred Griffin Johnson, 78, of the 400 block of Elizabeth St., died Jan. 3, 1995, in her home.
A native of Americus, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Emma Griffin and the widow of Floyd Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was a retired bookkeeper, having worked for Nansemond Ford Tractor for 28 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a member of the Suffolk Chapter of Credit Professional International, where she served as the current parliamentarian. She was a past president of District 12 CPI.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Deborah L. Carlucci of Virginia Beach; two great-grandchildren, Andrew Carlucci and Allison Carlucci, both of Virginia Beach; and her brother, R.L. Griffin of Baltimore.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles W. Thompson. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 237 N.
